Payments
Up Late Therapy accepts all major credit and debit cards. Superbills provided upon request.
Out of Network Provider
Up Late Therapy operates on a private-pay basis and is considered an out-of-network provider. I do not bill insurance companies directly. A Superbill can be provided upon request. This document includes all required service and diagnostic codes for you to pursue any out-of-network reimbursement you may be entitled to.
Some helpful questions to ask your insurance company before meeting with me:
- What is the reimbursement rate for an out of network mental health provider per session (once my deductible has been met)?
- What is my current yearly deductible?
- How much of this deductible has currently been met?
- How many therapy sessions does my plan cover?
- How do I submit for reimbursement?
- Are there any limitations for number of sessions and/or amount paid out?
- Is pre-approval required from my primary care physician?
Good Faith Estimate
The federal “No Surprises Act” grants consumers the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much their medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers, including psychotherapists, must give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for treatment services. The act also requires healthcare providers, including psychotherapists, to inform their clients of this right. Additionally, this act requires that information regarding the availability of a “Good Faith Estimate” must be prominently displayed on the website of all health care providers, including psychotherapists.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask all of your health care providers, including your therapist and other providers from whom you seek treatment, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises/.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation/No-Show Fee: $250
Please note that sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will result in a fee equal to the full rate of session.
To avoid a fee, cancellation is required at least 24 hours in advance of the appointment. If the appointment is scheduled on a Monday, the notification of cancellation needs to occur the Friday before that appointment date/time (e.g., 9pm Friday for a 9pm Monday appointment).
In addition, an appointment will be considered a “no-show” 15 minutes past the scheduled start time. If you are running late, please contact me right away to let me know if you are on your way. If I have not heard from you within the first 15 minutes of your session, I will consider you a no-show, your session will be forfeited, and you will be billed at your full rate (even if there is time remaining in your session).
